For many of our Tally night owls, it can often feel difficult to find a good meal late at night. With most restaurants closing around 8pm or 9pm, you may think you’re only left with eating out of a drive-thru window. We’re here to let you know Tallahassee is known for its tasty fares, even late into the evening.
Whether you’re spending hours studying, dancing the night away in a club, or just prefer a later dinner hour, we’ve set out to find the best late-night restaurants in Tallahassee to fill your appetite.
Cheap and Casual Late-Night Eats
Chubby’s Chicken
If you’re in search of quick, late-night food, then Chubby’s Chicken is your place. The drive-thru restaurant cooks up fresh chicken and fries made-to-order, and with mouthwatering reviews! Treat your stomach to their juicy chicken tenders and smothered fries, finished off with their classic Chubby’s sauce. There’s a reason people call Chubby’s finger licking good.

The pizza joint has expanded to three locations, but the OG Gaines Street spot stays open late for whenever you’re craving a slice of cheesy goodness.

Pizza Mouth
Another pizza spot that has surprised and satisfied the Tally scene is Pizza Mouth. Formally known as Gumby’s, the new owner changed the name but kept up the top-notch quality pizza! If you and your friends are looking for late night pizza, Pizza Mouth is here to serve. Along with the classics, we’d recommend trying out some of their specialty pizzas like the Mac and Cheese pie or the Stoner 420: covered in pepperoni, French fries, mozzarella sticks, and bacon! We’re practically begging for a slice after typing that.

Madison Social
It’s likely that almost every Tally college student has ventured into Madison Social, and we understand why! Located right on the edge of FSU, the American bar and restaurant offers the perfect place to chill out with friends over some warm food and a cold beer! Considering MadSo is one of the most student-friendly spots in the area, they’re known for staying open late. If you’re in search of a “fourth meal” head to MadSo for their Late Night Eats menu, including pub fare with a twist like cauliflower poppers and MadSo cheesy fries served until late!

Right around the corner from Madison Social is another beloved Tallahassee staple, Township. The hip industrial hall serves college students and locals craft beers and street food all day, with a food menu served until 12am. Whether you’re staying up late to study or just have a case of the late-night munchies, Township has you covered. Try their Buff & Tender Bowl with chopped buffalo tenders over waffle fries, finished off with blue cheese! Who cares if you’ve eaten dinner already? Another student favorite is Coosh’s! The family-owned Cajun restaurant opened their second location in CollegeTown back in 2017, and it’s been a hit ever since. Bird’s Aphrodisiac Oyster Shack
