Tallahassee is known for its weekend rituals. Football games, student parties, bars, and buzzing night clubs are in constant rotation. One thing you can always count on to keep fueling you through the weekend is some top-quality food. After a big night out, or just to catch up before the week begins, the perfect thing to do in Tallahassee is indulge in the beautiful merge of two mealtimes into one: brunch!
According to the Washington Post, brunch’s popularity is heavily concentrated around the U.S. coasts. In Florida brunch is more than just a meal, it’s a culture. Brunch is also a social experience, bringing people together over a plate of mouthwatering food and morning cocktails. We truly believe Tallahassee has some of the best options for brunch restaurants, and we’re here to prove it. Plus, there’s nothing more ideal to college students than going out for Sunday brunch after Saturday night football!
Add brunch into your weekend ritual with our favorite brunch restaurants in Tallahassee. Whether you’re feeling something elegant and refreshing or something boozy with a buffet, we’ve got you covered. Check out our favorite brunch spots around Tallahassee, Florida’s capital city, to make your next weekend even more deliciously fun.
This is our first choice for a reason! Table 23 welcomes you in any day of the week with their Southern hospitality and delicious homestyle food. Sundays are especially great at Table 23 for their weekly brunch menu. Satisfy your hunger with pecan and bourbon-soaked sticky buns or steak and eggs! If you want our personal favorite – try the Biscuits and Gravy! Their slogan is that you’re welcome to the table because however you come, “you’re perfect just the way you are!” You may just leave a lot fuller than when you came in.
Brunch drink specials – What’s better than happy hour until close? Nothing! Endless mimosas are flowing at Table 23 for only $12 with happy hour beginning at noon.
Brick House is well-known around town—it’s centrally located in downtown Tally and offers a meeting ground for both students and professionals every day of the week. The chilled out Italian spot packs a punch with their Sunday brunch menu! For our sweet toots, try the cinnamon roll waffles n’ chicken. Or if you’re wanting something a little different, the B.P. Breakfast Pizza (topped with eggs and bacon!) is a delight.
Brunch drink specials – You can’t go wrong with mimosa pitchers starting at $12 and loaded ice coffee for $11! Brick House says you don’t have to wait until 5pm to start drinking.
They were crowned “best brunch in town” in 2017 for a reason – but you should be the judge of that! One of the hottest student spots turns into a brunch lover’s paradise every Sunday from 10am-4pm. Gorge out on tasty dishes like the steak avo-toast benny or the b-fast burrito.
Brunch drink specials – Hair of the dog? Try Madso’s sweet socialables like their grapefruit & mint mimosa or the Maple Awakening with Lucky Goat’s cold brew coffee (prices not listed on menu.)
If it’s good and hearty food you’re looking for, then look no further than The Edison. The building is already cool enough for a visit: the former power station has been converted into a chic outpost with an outdoor deck and great park views. The Edison hosts Sunday brunch every week from 10am-2pm. We hear the Edison Loaded Scramble is insanely good (especially topped with queso!) or you can always go for the classic shrimp & grits, homemade with gouda. Sounds pretty good, huh?
Brunch drink specials – Mimosas and bloody Mary’s, there’s no going wrong with either Sunday beverage. The Edison’s drinks start at $7 on their special brunch menu.
One of FSU’s best hangover remedies is to head out to Coosh’s for the day! The family-owned restaurant adds a Florida feel to Cajun dishes while also offering students an exciting spot to drink and hangout. Lucky for you, Coosh’s offers brunch every Saturday AND Sunday from 10am-2pm! Go with a Cajun classic with a crawfish po’boy or combine sweet and savory with their chicken and waffles.

Canopy has taken the traditional breakfast and enhanced it with some fun and innovative twists. Try their Cap’n Crunch French toast, or if you’re feeling extra hungry you can take on the triple-decker Mutt’s Breakfast Club sandwich. You’re guaranteed to leave full and happy.
Brunch drink specials – For those of us who’d prefer a caffeine pick-me-up over alcohol, Canopy Road Café offers great quality coffee with Lucky Goat Coffee Co.
Andrew’s is a staple in Tallahassee—No really, they just celebrated their 45th anniversary! The downtown spot serves up brunch every Sunday from 10:30am-3:30pm. Go traditional with the Downtown Brunch Plate or mix it up with the crab cake benedict. Either way, your stomach will thank you.

“Love on a Plate” is their motto, so they guarantee you’re going to love what’s on your plate. Jeri’s is beloved in Tally for it’s laid-back environment, farm-to-table ingredients, and food that will have you begging for more. At Jeri’s you’ll find yummy, pressed sandwiches like the Granny Smith and Brie and “The Dude” – or try one of their weekend samplers if you’ve really worked up an appetite.
Brunch drink specials – Snag a brunch mimosa with your choice of mixer for $5 or try out Jeri’s house-made sangria: $10 per glass or $25 for a carafe!
Although this one is a chain restaurant, it’s still one of our absolute favorites! Maple Street is THE spot to get some tasty biscuits. Fight away the Sunday Scaries with one of their fresh-made biscuits with a twist. Our favorite is The Farmer, with hand-battered chicken strips with bacon, cheddar, and homemade apple butter. I bet you got hungry just reading that.
Brunch drink specials – Pair your biscuits with an ice-cold mimosa! Classic, Berry Fields, or The Sunrise all for $10.50.
If you’re feeling slightly more sophisticated, head to Liberty’s Sunday brunch. Under the same ownership as Black Radish and Bar 1903, it’s expected that this place rocks. They’ve also got funky small plates like a Scotch egg, fried green tomatoes, and a brunch charcuterie board for the whole table to share!
